Here is one of the railroad tracks in Maitland that the new Sunrail will run along.
2 years ago • NotesMy interview with Mr. Barley went very well. He was very helpful and was able to explain the Sunrail in great detail.
Mr. Barley recommended a couple of websites to look at, including the Sunrail website.
The websites are very well organized and very informative.
Tomorrow I will be working on my following two interviews, and I will be going out to take pictures for my story.
I hope to get some good photos of the railroad track along Park Avenue, where the Sunrail will run.
I want my story to be complete by the end of the weekend. With some hard work, I should be able to accomplish my goal.
2 years ago • 0 notesTomorrow morning I will be having my first interview for my environmental story on the developing Sunrail.
I will be meeting Mr. Harry Barley, a director for the project.
I have researched the rail system, and I am now developing my list of potential questions.
Mr. Barley is the executive director for Metroplan. I look forward to hearing all about the background information and the future plans for the rail.
Hopefully he will be able to direct me to other Sunrail influentials that I could also interview.
2 years ago • 0 notesI went home to Orlando over the weekend because I was sick and needed to rest.
While I was there, I was able to look up new topics of interest for the city to brainstorm my Lab 10 idea.
My parents and I discussed multiple current topics, including the new breast cancer survivorship clinic at M.D. Anderson, as well as the environmental effects of the developing Sunrail system.
I e-mailed some local publications to see if any would be interested in publishing my article.
Mrs. Andreasson, the editor of the Winter Park Maitland Observer, responded and encouraged me to pursue the story on the Sunrail.
I received approval from my lab instructor and will begin my research when I am home again for break.
